HAVAL partners with Red Bull for Bo-Kaap Red Bull Box Cart Race

For everyone who’s looked at the beautiful and steep roads of the Bo-Kaap and thought: “I wonder how fast I can do that on a skateboard?”, now is your chance! This year’s epic Red Bull Box Cart Race will take place in the streets of Bo-Kaap, Cape Town, and HAVAL South Africa is a proud partner of this thrilling event.

This year the event will take place on 6 November featuring over 60 teams ranging from amateur to box cart veterans, promising an exhilarating day for all.

The first Red Bull Box Cart race took place in Brussels 22 years ago and has since become a global phenomenon that attracts racing drivers, engineers and anyone who wants to try their hand at building a legendary box cart. For those who don’t fancy hurtling down a hill in a homemade cart, it is easily one of the best spectator events on the calendar.

HAVAL previously partnered with Red Bull for the Red Bull Quicksand event in Durban earlier this year. In this case, competitors ran a challenging course that took them through the tough sand dunes of Durban’s New Beach.
