Haval Motor SA celebrates a record year with Christmas gifts for the less fortunate

On December 4th, Haval Motors SA celebrated a record year with Christmas gifts for the less fortunate.

From the end of November, the team at Haval Motors SA (HMSA) were like Santa’s elves in his workshop putting together 100 gift boxes for Johannesburg Dream Center NPC. The boxes, packed and wrapped by the Haval SA elves contained important basic stationary for school and activities, basic toiletries like a toothbrush and toothpaste, and of course no Christmas is complete without toys and sweets.

You may be thinking what or who is the Johannesburg Dream Center? Here’s what they have to say about what they do:

“The Johannesburg Dream Center is a non-profit in South Africa aimed at helping people living in poverty in all different kinds of ways. We help the mother who dreams of feeding her child, the father who dreams of getting a job to provide a better life for his children and the child who dreams of becoming a lawyer one day. We help those in desperate need of empowerment to change their lives for the better. And we do it with the help of people just like you!

Each December we provide parents living in poverty with Christmas gifts for their children. They give these as if they bought it themselves. This encourages family relations and makes sure no child wakes up to nothing on Christmas morning.”

HMSA did their handover on the 30th of November to Johannesburg Dream Centre NPC where the gifts were handed over by Karishma Panday, HR representative for the company, who had this to say, “We at Haval are proud to hand over these gifts in this time of economic uncertainty knowing full well that this small donation will improve 100 children’s lives on Christmas day.”

Haval’s PR and Marketing Manager, Vaughan Swanepoel, “At Haval SA we know the plight of the less fortunate in our country and that’s why we have in the past given gladly with various philanthropic actions, now especially, when after 4 years of growth in SA, we can truly say we area SA brand whose product is from China. We are a South African company that appreciates our swift rise and thus we give back with an open and honest heart.” Swanepoel went on to say, “2021 has been a year of milestones reached and surpassed and new records being set in terms of overall retail sales, new product market introduction leading to retail sales successes like Jolion, H6 and P-Series.Our biggest achievement is being accepted by more and more South Africans as their car brand of choice, an honour we don’t take lightly. We will offer more products in 2022 and 2023 that will even greater improve our South African footprint, so the future for us is bright and we are happy to brighten up 100 children’s Christmas day.”

On the 4th of December, Haval’s donation together with all the other donations were delivered in a group delivery and then ultimately making it to the hands of the parents to be put under their Christmas tree on Christmas eve.

We just wish were there to watch them open their presents!
